  • As the life span of a cricket is about 8- 10 weeks, it is better to order enough crickets that can last for you for about 1 month.
  • It is also a good idea to order more smaller crickets and let them grow into larger ones. This will save your trip to Pet stores to buy 12 cent each crickets.
  • Our recommendation is to feed the smallest cricket (about 1/4" in size) to your baby Baby Bearded Dragon.

  • Do not referigerate.

  • Place hand full of cricket food and a small plate filled with cricket water at the bottom of plastic container.
  • You do not need to close container until crickets develop wings or they grow to 3/4" size.
  • For ventilation, poke holes in the top of the plastic container and you are ready to feed your reptiles with continuous supply of crickets.
  • Yes, there are two ways remove crickets easily from containers.
  • One way to place a toilet paper roll in the container. Crickets will go inside the roll to hide. Just pick the roll up with crickets and transfer to reptile cage without touching to them.
  • Another way is to pick up a hand full crickets and toss them in the reptile cage.
  • Crickets generally take about 3 weeks for their full growth and development.
  • Fully grown crickets can easily live for 2-3 weeks.
  • They start chirping when they grow about 3/4" in size and when wings begin to develop.
  • It is possible that the pieces of carrots or potatodes that are provided as food for crickets in the storage container are rotting and giving bad smell. Rotting of caroots and potatoes generally occur due to their moisture content that allows the growth and multiplication of unknown bacteria that produces different kinds smelly substances.

  • Yes, but do not provide water in a bowl as crickets often drown in bowls of water.
  • To avoid this cricket drowning problem, use our cricket water that comes in the form of dehydrated powder. Transfer this powder in a bowl containing 1 gallon of water and stir it for 15- 20 minitues or until it turns into gel/jello. This 1 gallon of gel will be enough for 1000 crickets for 40 days. Cut a small piece of gel, place it on a small plate and then transfer this plate in the cricket storage container. Crickets will get water water from this gel. Change this piece of gel every 3 days and your crickets will be happy.
  • Do not refrigerate gel.
  • Place remaining gel in a cool place
  • You can buy simillar kind of gel from pet stores but it will be comparativley expensive.
